A strategy and a general programme for promotion and training on the Eurocodes have been established through the project entitled "Support to the implementation and further development of the Eurocodes".
In line with this strategy, JRC in collaboration with DG ENTR, CEN TC250 and Russian experts has organised two training workshops in Moscow in 2008 and 2010:
- Eurocodes: a tool for building safety and reliability enhancement
- Training the trainers: Basis of Design, Eurocode 1 and Eurocode 2
The third meeting of the "EU-Russia Regulatory Dialogue: Construction Sector Subgroup" was held in Moscow (26 January 2012) with the participation of DG ENTR, JRC and CEN. The major objective of the meeting was to progress towards an Action Plan for the implementation of the European Standards and in particular of the Eurocodes in Russia. As part of the Working Plan decided, it was agreed that JRC-ELSA will organise a seminar on Bridge Design with Eurocodes for selected Russian experts.
