The online Workshop on the Implementation of the Eurocodes in ASEAN Member States is organised within the 'EU-ASEAN Dialogue on Eurocodes', facilitated by the European Union through the cooperation program 'Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI).
The workshop will be held on Thursday, 24 April 2025, from 8:30 AM CET to 11:10 AM CET. For ASEAN countries, it will be from 1:30 PM GMT+7 (JKT/BKK) to 4:10 PM GMT+7 (KL/MN).
This online workshop will give insights into the implementation and use of the Eurocodes in third countries, with a particular focus on ASEAN Member States (AMS). The challenges, benefits, opportunities, and strategies facilitating the adoption and implementation of the Eurocodes will be addressed, in view of the AMS countries’ unique regulatory and standardisation frameworks and needs. Experts from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Singapore will share their experience, lessons learned, and best practices, fostering a collaborative environment and building capacities to support the successful implementation of the Eurocodes in the ASEAN context.
During the seminar, participants will gain insights into the experience of ASEAN countries with adopting the Eurocodes. Key topics include the development of National Annexes, educational initiatives, and steps towards keeping the pace with the second generation of Eurocodes.
