Second generation of Eurocode EN 1990 ‘Basis of structural design’ - Key changes

This event belongs to a series of webinars (October–November 2026) delivered by experts from CEN/TC 250 'Structural Eurocodes', focusing on the technical background for the main changes in the second-generation Eurocodes.

  • Training and workshops

Experts from CEN/TC 250 will present the technical background and key changes of the second-generation EN 1990, the 'head code' of the Eurocode suite. The webinar will cover EN 1990-1 for the design of new structures, EN 1990-2 for the assessment of existing structures, and the reliability background underpinning the Eurocodes. Sessions will address reliability management, geotechnical alignment, robustness, serviceability provisions, and sustainability requirements. An interactive Q&A will close the event.
