As the last in the series of events in the context of the EU-ASEAN Eurocodes Dialogue, this regional workshop takes place as a two-day hybrid event reserved to the invited experts.
It highlights the need to further raise awareness of the Eurocodes, and aims to the following main objectives:
- Promote national coherence of stakeholders (national authorities and national standardisation bodies) in interested ASEAN Member States (AMS) and strengthen their capacities to advance in the establishment of a regulatory and standardisation framework for the adoption and implementation of the Eurocodes.
- Facilitate regional cooperation and networking among AMS to support understanding, adoption, and implementation of the Eurocodes in engineering practice.
- Provide technical support on topics previously discussed and agreed upon with interested AMS.
- Share the European Union’s experience in supporting raising awareness and promoting the adoption and implementation of the Eurocodes.
- Ensure the sustainability of the process beyond the conclusion of the E-READI Eurocodes Dialogue.
Experts from the European Commission, EU Member States, the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation (CENELEC), and ASEAN Member States (AMS) will exchange knowledge with representatives of national authorities, standardisation bodies, academia, industry, and engineering associations from the AMS.
