Training Course on Eurocodes Application

The tutors are João Carlos Viegas (LNEC), Paulo Vila Real (UA), Luís Galrão dos Reis (IST), Rui Fernando Martins (UNL), Alexandre Pinho da Cruz (UA) and Ricardo Graça Matias (HYDRO) with extensive practical experience in the design of buildings and civil engineering structures.

This one day course will illustrate the design challenges through presentation and discussion, and offers expert advice and opinion on the practical application of the new European design codes. The emphasis is on design of cross-sections and connections for ULS, SLS as well as fatigue and fire safety design.
