Design to Eurocode 5

The primary objective of the one-day workshop is to facilitate a better understanding of the intricacies involved through practical worked examples. The most significant change for timber design is the adoption in Eurocode 5 of the limit state design philosophy. This philosophy ensures that the same basis of design is used for all materials. Once designers become familiar with the Eurocodes, this will make it much easier for them to choose and combine materials. The workshop will be of interest to engineers and engineering technicians who are involved in design and/or checking.
