Eurocode 8: Design of structures for earthquake resistance

Upon completion of the course the participants should:

a) become familiar with the philosophy and provisions of Eurocode 8, parts 1, 3 and 5 with emphasis on design and retrofitting reinforced concrete buildings,

b) become aware of the Cyprus National Annex of Eurocode 8 and the Nationally Determined Parameters, and

c) be able to apply the provisions of the code to engineering problems.
