STELRAD CPD SEMINAR

With the search on for ever more energy efficient heating systems for our homes and commercial premises, the search is being focused on the individual components of the heating system, including the radiators. This seminar will introduce the concept of serial feed radiators, explaining the differences between standard parallel feed radiators and the serial feed option. The presentation covers:

•The basics of radiator technology, explaining the mix of radiant and convection heat

•How parallel feed radiators work – with both panels heating up at the same time and rate

•The concept of serial feed technology – with the front panel heating up first and quickest

•The positive effects on a condensing boiler and the rest of the heating system from the use of serial feed radiator

The overall measureable effects of using a serial feed radiator such as the Radical from Stelrad, has been independently assessed by KIWA as an impressive 10.5% energy saving.

ARMSTRONG CEILINGS CPD SEMINAR

Following its launch of the eco-friendly CoolZone system, Armstrong Ceilings now has a RIBA-approved CPD on the use of the PCM (Phase Change Material).

The CPD "Using phase change materials in construction for a more sustainable built environment" is designed to help specifiers better understand where and how PCMs can be used to create a more energy-efficient and comfortable environment and how they play a role in supporting high-performing sustainable properties.

The CPD advises on the how, what, where and when of PCMs in new-build and refurbishment projects in the office, education, healthcare, commercial and retail sectors particularly.
