The Second-Generation Eurocodes Workshop – an online event organized by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) – was a unique opportunity to highlight the key changes and benefits of the Second-Generation Eurocodes, illustrated through examples and applications presented by the Eurocodes writers themselves.
Almost 40 experts from the CEN Technical Committee 250 ‘Structural Eurocodes’ presented an overview of the Eurocodes evolution process, and the complete range of the Second-Generation Eurocodes – covering the existing standards EN 1990 to EN 1999, but also the novel Eurocode on structural glass (EN 19100), and the new CEN Technical Specifications for fibre-polymer composite structures (CEN/TS 19101) and tensioned membrane structures (CEN/TS 19102).
