Harmonising resilient practices for structural design in the built environment – the example of the Eurocodes

The final E-READI Eurocodes workshop will be hosted at the premises of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 27-28 October 2025.

In the context of the EU-ASEAN Dialogue on Eurocodes held under E-READI - with the collaboration of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission – the workshop "Harmonising resilient practices for structural design in the built environment – the example of the Eurocodes", is organised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 27-28 October 2025. 

The workshop will highlight the accomplishments of the Dialogue on Eurocodes among the interested ASEAN Member States, as well as the needs for raising more awareness on the Eurocodes, strengthen capacities of relevant national authorities in standardisation and regulatory framework for the built environment, and identify potential technical assistance needs to support the elaboration of Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs) and National Annexes (NAs) to the Eurocodes for countries interested in the Eurocodes adoption and implementation. 

The workshop will be hosted at the premises of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). The participants will include representatives from the National Standardisation Bodies and ministries responsible for regulation in the construction sector. Stakeholders will also come from industry associations and academia in the ASEAN Member States, involved in the development of standards and technical guidance for the built environment. Participation to event is by invitation only through E-READI.
