The cable-stayed bridge over Wadi Dib has been designed in a three-year period between 1994 and 1996. The bridge crosses the Dib valley near Constantine in Algeria, a valley now submerged by an artificial lake created by the nearby dam.
The prestressed concrete deck comprises three spans of 111m, 280m and 111m and is sectioned in 4m-long precast elements. Special joints have been studied both to reduce the construction time and to guarantee sufficient ductility.

Eurocode 8 - Design of structures for earthquake resistance, was used to check the bridge under a PGA of 0,30g.
